Project Detail
Project Highlights
Home of the Golden State Warriors, Chase Center is an award-winning sports and entertainment arena in the heart of San Francisco’s Mission Bay neighborhood. The state-of-the-art facility welcomes millions of fans annually, creating a concentrated demand on wireless networks.
Vertex Innovations partnered with the nation’s largest cellular provider to manage construction of a Distributed Antenna System (DAS) to the arena, providing upwards of 18,000 visitors with seamless, uninterrupted connectivity across more than 850 access points. The DAS network provides the wireless capacity of 23 cell sites and covers all seating areas, concourses, locker rooms, and the surrounding retail area.
Vertex oversaw every phase of the DAS project, from initial kick-off through engineering, installation, and construction closeout. Our team coordinated and managed the efforts of Verizon’s multiple vendors to ensure that every decision supported Verizon’s quality standards. Program and construction management services included developing a detailed in-building system project plan, coordinating site walks and inspections, facilitating design reviews, and overseeing system and equipment start-ups.
Construction progress was tracked in real-time via the client’s internal database and Procore to provide clarity and transparency to all stakeholders and ensure on-time completion ahead of the stadium’s opening.
From basketball fanatics to concert connoisseurs, visitors can expect seamless wireless coverage at Chase Center.
