The Challenge
A leading national wireless carrier needed to evolve its network equipment at cell sites across the country to expand 5G coverage for its customers.
The Solution
Vertex Innovations assisted the client in planning and engineering its next-generation network to support the nationwide rollout of 5G across the United States. Our project manager conducted a thorough review and verification of the existing cell site equipment, including remote environmental and power monitoring systems (Site Boss 5550-6), router configurations, and baseband units. Additionally, we updated the LTE path associated with the baseband unit, modified the Site Boss path, removed obsolete router ports, and integrated a new next-generation router port. Our team also verified IP addresses and successfully initiated the migration of the existing IPs to the new router.
