Hickory Hills Mobile Switching Center (MSC) Expansion
Project Highlights
The nearly 30,000 square-foot Mobile Switching Center expansion in Hickory Hills, Illinois included the demolition of the existing west wing and construction of an expansion which included network, lab, and UPS rooms with hot and cold containment aisles, raised access floors, pressurization AHU system; and DX CRACs for the lab room. The project also required the installation of two 3MW generators with cross-over configuration.
Vertex Innovations oversaw the expansion project from demolition through commissioning of the new UPS and cooling systems. Through diligent coordination between the client, contractors, and trades; expert project management; and thorough QA/QC and change order reviews, Vertex maintained project schedule while saving the client more than $100,000 in change order requests from the general contractor and subtrades.
