Project Detail
Project Highlights
Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Airport faced a critical need to improve wireless connectivity, particularly in its tunnels, to support increased mobile traffic and enhance passenger experience. The goal was to deploy a new neutral host Distributed Antenna System (DAS) capable of delivering enhanced 4G LTE coverage, while meeting the rigorous compliance and regulatory standards including those set by the FAA.
Vertex Innovations was selected to manage the construction and implementation of the neutral host DAS. We coordinated all aspects of the project, ensuring that contractors and vendors met critical monthly and quarterly activation goals. The team worked closely with the RF Engineering team to add sites to the network plan, facilitating optimal coverage and performance. We also ensured rigorous compliance with client standards, including reviewing and certifying all drawings and certifications for feasibility and value engineering. The result was a high-performance DAS system that significantly expanded coverage, increasing network capacity by 1,000 percent.
