Mountain Plains New Cell Site Build Program

The Challenge

When the nation’s largest wireless carrier looked to complete the construction of more than 200 new build sites, they turned to Vertex Innovations to manage the successful completion of the expansion program.

The Solution

As part of the Mountain Plains New Build Program, our construction managers oversaw preconstruction and design activities including tracking and verifying zoning and construction drawings met appropriate client and regulatory standards; conducting preliminary site walks to determine site designs for new builds and small cell sites; creating statements of work and bid packages; and hosting site walks with the awarded fiber vendor and designated general contractors to ensure alignment before construction began. Upon breaking ground, Vertex managed day-to-day construction activities including overseeing the general contractor and awarded vendors to ensure timely completion and conducting regular site walks to ensure progress. Upon substantial completion, Vertex managed closeout packages, final punch walks, and final site walks to ensure the scope was met to the client’s standards.
